Parrot A.R. Drone iPhone Controlled Quadricopter
Today, Parrot unveiled its A.R. Drone at CES 2010, a helicopter that can be controlled using an iPhone or an iPod Touch, it works with its on-board WiFi system and two video cameras embedded, one in front and one below the cockpit. It is very easy to pilot the A.R. Drone by tilting your iPhone slightly, when you release it, it stabilizes right away. To turn you just need to tilt the phone on the left or on the right. I tried it a month ago and the piloting is extremely accurate and easy to learn. See the video ( I am not in the video).
The on-board Linux-based computer allows targets detection and integration of augmented reality. Software developpers will be able to create gaming applications via the open source development platform www.ardrone.org

The drone industry is in a continuous development and this led to a boom of devices that flooded the market with various models, producers and even clones. Nowadays we don’t even need a special controller for our drones, it’s enough to pair them with a smartphone or a tablet by installing a specific app. http://mydronelab.com/best-pick/iphone-controlled-drone.html
